The recent Children’s Blankets of Love Blanket Drive—hosted in partnership with the Knights of Columbus and St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church—was an overwhelming success. Running from October 1st–19th, the drive inspired incredible generosity throughout the parish community. Even after the official collection period closed, blankets continued arriving through the end of October, proving just how deeply supporters believe in the CBOL mission.

In total, the blanket drive collected 298 blankets and raised $500 in donations. These contributions will help Children’s Blankets of Love continue providing warmth, comfort, and hope to hospitalized children across North Carolina. Every blanket represents a moment of joy for a child facing medical challenges—and this year’s drive ensured that nearly 300 children will receive that small but powerful reminder that someone cares.

The Knights of Columbus and St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church have been long-standing supporters of CBOL’s work, and this year once again demonstrated the strength of their community spirit. Families, parish members, and volunteers worked together to gather cozy, colorful, and comforting blankets for children in need. Their dedication is a shining example of what can happen when a community unites behind compassion.

As CBOL prepares for upcoming holiday deliveries and hospital outreach, the impact of this blanket drive will be felt for months to come. We are deeply grateful to everyone who donated, shared the message, or helped spread warmth in any way.
