On Wednesday, June 3rd, Children’s Blankets of Love Founders Barbara and Vic Marchioni personally delivered 102 new blankets to WakeMed Children’s Hospital in Raleigh, NC, continuing the organization’s mission of providing comfort and care to hospitalized children and their families.
The blanket delivery was warmly received by hospital staff, including Penny, who shared how meaningful these donations are for pediatric patients facing difficult medical journeys. She explained that the blankets often become a source of comfort not only for the children but also for their parents and family members during extended hospital stays.
At Children’s Blankets of Love, every blanket represents more than warmth. It represents compassion, encouragement, and a reminder to children that their community cares about them during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
WakeMed Children’s Hospital has been a valued hospital partner for Children’s Blankets of Love, and our organization is grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting the incredible work of the hospital’s medical teams and caregivers.
Barbara and Vic continue to personally deliver blankets throughout North Carolina, helping ensure that children receiving medical care have something soft, comforting, and personal to hold onto while in the hospital.
The continued support from volunteers, donors, community groups, churches, schools, and businesses makes these deliveries possible and allows Children’s Blankets of Love to keep expanding its impact across the region.
