Children’s Blankets of Love (CBOL), a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to bringing comfort to hospitalized children through donations of new blankets, is excited to announce its First Annual Golf Tournament. The event will take place on Friday, November 14th, 2025 at the prestigious River Landing Golf Course in Wallace, NC.
The tournament begins with check-in at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. The entry fee is $400 per foursome ($100 per player), which includes a light breakfast, box lunch, and access to a drink cart during the tournament. Players will also have the chance to compete for a special $10,000 Hole-in-One Prize, making the day even more exciting.
Children’s Blankets of Love was founded in 2018 by Barbara Marchioni and her twin grandsons after a holiday family conversation inspired them to give back to children in need. Since its beginnings, CBOL has donated more than 5,000 blankets to children in hospitals across North Carolina, including Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Duke Children’s Hospital, WakeMed Children’s Hospital, UNC Children’s Hospital, Cape Fear Valley Health, and Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. The organization continues to grow with support from local communities and business partners, spreading comfort beyond NC to other states in the mid-Atlantic region and internationally to Panama, the Philippines, and India.
