A Blanket Drive brings the Fuquay-Varina community together
During the Christmas Season, it can be especially difficult for a child to celebrate the holiday in a hospital away from home. Thankfully, there are angels like the Naylor family who think of giving back to their community and helping the children in need. This year, their daughter Reagan sponsored a Blanket Drive at their business.
Over the course of a few days, the Naylor Roadside Market collected five blankets once they pitched their collection box. One day, a Lillington Presbyterian Church member stopped at the market and saw the box. She was very excited about the cause and decided it would be a great opportunity for their youth to assist in raising blankets for the drive. After they spread the word to their church community, the lady returned to the Naylor Roadside Market and donated 10 blankets to their blanket drive! We are so happy to hear about the inspiration our cause brings to people and appreciate the support of our community!
Reagan was able to collect a total of 15 blankets during their blanket drive which she donated to the Children’s Blankets of Love. Her thoughtfulness and generosity were merrily received by the children at the UNC Children’s Hospital.
